"Let's Travel en Español" combines two great passions: learning Spanish and experiencing the rich culture of Latin America. Guatemala is a country of breathtaking volcanoes, colorful indigenous traditions, vibrant markets, magnificent Mayan archaeological sites, and warm hospitality.

Throughout the journey, participants will enjoy authentic cultural experiences while practicing Spanish in real-life situations. Optional daily Spanish classes are included at no additional cost.

Day 1: Wednesday, July 21 — Arrival in Guatemala

Hotel: Porta Hotel Antigua

  • Welcome to Guatemala! Upon arrival at La Aurora International Airport, take a shuttle or taxi to Porta Hotel Antigua (approximately 1½ hours, depending on traffic)
  • Hotel check-in
  • Welcome and Orientation (time to be announced)

Day 2: Thursday, July 22 — Antigua Guatemala Walking Tour

Hotel: Porta Hotel Antigua

  • 7:30–8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
  • 9:30 a.m.: Guided Walking Tour of Antigua

Day 3: Friday, July 23 — Coffee Plantation & Cooking Experience

Hotel: Porta Hotel Antigua

  • 7:30–8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
  • 10:00 a.m.: Visit a local coffee plantation. Enjoy an authentic cultural experience through our local partner cooperative De La Gente, where you will:
    • Learn about Guatemalan coffee production
    • Meet local farmers
    • Participate in a traditional cooking workshop
    • Prepare Guatemala's national dish
  • 1:00 p.m.: Lunch included
  • 3:00 p.m.: Return to Antigua

Day 4: Saturday, July 24 — Pacaya Volcano

  • 9:00 a.m.: Departure for Pacaya Volcano. Enjoy a guided hike through one of Guatemala's most famous active volcanoes while taking in spectacular panoramic views.

Day 5: Sunday, July 25 — Chichicastenango & Lake Atitlán

  • Breakfast and check out
  • Transfer toward Lake Atitlán
  • On the way, visit the colorful Chichicastenango Market, one of the largest indigenous markets in Central America. Explore local handicrafts, textiles, flowers, traditional foods, and Mayan culture.

  • Continue to Lake Atitlán with a scenic boat ride to Santiago Atitlán

Day 6: Monday, July 26 — Lake Atitlán & Mayan Villages
