We took 5 grandchildren (young teens) for 9 days, and we all had a great experience. The teens stayed with Mexican families, and my husband and I in an apartment. The kids were all warmly welcomed, and became part of their families for our time there. They had Spanish classes all morning, tailored to their proficiency levels, and in the afternoons made field trips, as well as on the weekends, which we were invited to attend. They loved Teotihuacan, las Estacas and other adventures. The Institute gave its students a fiesta complete with piñata, dancing and mariachis, and also salsa lessons.
